The Company through its subsidiary, United Utilities Water Limited, manages the regulated water and wastewater network in the North West of England, providing services to approximately seven million people and businesses. The Company manages around 120,000 kilometers of water pipes and sewers. The Company owns around 178 reservoirs. The Company collects water from the environment, clean and distributes it to its customers before collecting it, treating it, and then returning it back to the environment. The Company owns over 55,000 hectares of land around its reservoirs. The Company has around 93 water treatment works, which delivers around 1,700 million liters of water to 3.2 million customers. The Companys subsidiary includes United Utilities Property Services Limited.
