Daniel Vasilev

Daniel Vasilev brings over 11 years of expertise as an analyst and educator in economics and finance, with a strong focus on personal and public finance. He began his career at the Institute for Market Economics, one of Bulgaria's leading think tanks, where he honed his analytical skills. Later, he helped with the creation of the Experts Club for Economics and Politics, an independent media outlet and think tank for economic and political analysis, eventually serving as its editor-in-chief.

While advancing his career, Daniel also taught Economics and Statistics at Sofia University, Bulgaria's oldest institution of higher education. Over the years, he has collaborated as an economic analyst with various media outlets, and his insights are frequently featured in various publications, and he is a regular commentator on TV, radio, and podcasts.

In addition to his analytical work, Daniel has translated and edited into Bulgarian several books on economics and finance. In 2020, he took on the role of Chief Economist for Southeast Europe at Bulgaria's largest gold bullion company, where he developed and managed analytical content across Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia and developed and trained the whole team of economists. He also hosted a popular podcast focused on economics, investing, and personal finance. Daniel has expertise in the fields of fundamental analysis, investments, and analysis of the business cycle.
